The Depot (200 S. Jones) will be hosting the Opening reception for Ron Tarver: The Long Ride Home. A series of works illustrating the enduring heritage of Black cowboys.

D.M. Wealth Management (309 E. Main) hosts their featured artist of the month: Gay Pasely and their exhibition Black in September. Pasley delves into the intricate relationship between personal identity, artistic expression, and pursuing existential meaning. A potent and introspective body of work that challenges viewers to contemplate how lived experiences influence individual viewpoints and musical Live music by Frank Lawrence.

Downtown Art and Frame (115 S Santa Fe) is hosting local artist Bill Boettcher, featuring several sculptures.

Legally Brewed (123 W. Main) features Travis Humphery in the taproom while hosting live music from Jo James.

MAINSITE Contemporary Art (122 E. Main) celebrates the closing reception for Constructed Emotion, by artist Benjamin Murphy who explores a range of concepts related to current viewpoints in neuroscience, quantum physics, philosophy, and computer science to tell a story about our contemporary experience through the use of color systems as a means to describe the function of neurotransmitters. These color systems are further integrated with images of chemical diagrams and CT scans of the human brain.

MAINSITE also hosts the The Oklahoma Collection, featuring photographs by Karen Paul in the Library Gallery.

Mister Robert Furniture (109 E. Main) will be featuring Coach V's 212 Candles and original art.

Norman Regional Primary Care Clinic (119 E. Main) will host the Faces of Migraine Photography Exhibit during the 2nd Friday Art Walk. Migraines affect the lives of 15% of the population and are the second leading cause of global disability. Every migraine is different, and so is each Oklahoma Headache Center patient. The Faces of Migraine project highlights the significance of migraine headaches and the toll they take on the individual - at work, at home and in their personal lives. By showing real people suffering from migraine, the Norman Regional Foundation aims to advance awareness of this disease, raise funds to enhance the research, and ultimately provide relief to more people.

OSC-Press (315 E Main)  is hosting 10 Cups. A group exhibition in Celebration of Love, Friendship, and Community

Red Dot Studio (406 W. Main) is having an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Artworks by Richard McKown, Michael Wilson, John Bruce and Nick Lillard will be on display. The open studio includes a sneak peak into Creaturealm Oklahoma’s immersive exhibit and an unveiling of Lillard’s newest creature, Carrie the Carrington Caterpillar. 

Come see Carrie on Main Street before she crawls to her new home at a pollinator garden in Norman! 

Resonator (325 E. Main) present an amazing body of work by artist Lauren Panichelli.

Sandalwood & Sage (322 E Main) hosts musical guests The Unpronounceable Irish Band from 7 to 9 p.m. Come by the store and tap your toes to their Old English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish tunes!  

Sergio’s Italian Bistro (104 E. Gray) will host live music from Jahruba from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

STASH (412 E. Main) is open with featured artist Mary Frantz.

Studio JBerg (229 E. Main) will host Amber Barrett as their featured artist through December.

Uncanny Art House (106 E. Main) a new cooperative art hub in downtown Norman, is hosting its grand opening during the 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk on September 13th, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. The event features a special acoustic performance by local singer-songwriter Samantha Crain at 7:00 PM and three art exhibitions: the UAH Members’ Gallery, showcasing works by six resident artists; new media works by KT Duffy, featuring large-scale sculptures and projection mapping; and an exhibition by emerging artist Saray Suarez, exploring themes of identity and cultural heritage. The expanded space at 106 East Main Street offers a versatile environment for artists to create, connect, and engage with the community. The event is free and open to the public.

The Well (210 James Garner) presents Just 4 Kids, featuring the Young Innovators Market; face painting, baked goods, skin care, pet products and more from young entrepreneurs in the Norman community. Pioneer Library System will also present kids activities, and there’s also book signings with authors Donna M. Gary and Eileen Hobbs.

Yoga on Main (123 E. Main, above Syrup) will be showing our latest video work and the trailer for our upcoming documentary Kings and Yogis.
